It reminded us of the NetEnt slot games of a decade ago, in line with the likes of the Lucky Anglers slot or even the Fisticuffs game.
Disco Danny has 3 reels and 3 rows with 5 paylines, all set on a background of purple lights flashing in the background, and 7s, Bars, roller skates and disco balls as the paytable symbols.
It’s ok. It’s not awful. But it lacks the wow factor we’ve come to expect from NetEntertainment. But then again, when you play classic slots we can forgive a simpler, cheesier theme.
Disco Danny slot has two different scatters
And Danny is the highest paid symbol for both. The only difference is the one dressed in purple pays on a payline, while the other is dressed in gold and pays 100x your bet when three appear anywhere on the reels.
But that’s not the two scatters we are talking about. No. That’s the disco ball. One gold and one purple. Yes, we know, they didn’t dig deep for this video slot theme.
In the base game, the golden scatter ball will randomly payout either 10x or 20x your bet. Nice but rare. It’s the purple one you really want to catch because then you trigger a special 5 level free spins bonus round.

The free spins bonus is where the big wins are hiding
The Disco Danny slot may only have 3 reels but it has a special bonus free spins. You only get 3 bonus spins, but the reels only spin Golden Scatter symbols with instant cash wins of around 1x to 10x your bet.
Every time you catch a golden scatter you reset the counter to 3. The scatters will always stay sticky on screen. If you get 3 spins with no golden scatter, your round ends and you get your total number of wins based on the multiplier on each scatter.
BUT if you catch a whole screen of golden scatters, you get those wins and you get to the next level which has a bigger multiplier. That multiplier is applied to however many golden scatters you get. If you get to level 5, your multiplier is up to 10x, which is how you get wins of over 2,000x your bet.
You probably won’t. It’s a shot in a million. But this Disco Danny slot machine can be fun to hang out and have an Appletini with until you move on to something with some more involved mechanics, such as you’ll find in the Gonzo’s Quest Megaways review.

Golden Multiplier Feature: The Golden scatter when landing on the reels will award a win of either 10x or 20x your bet.
Free Spins: Any three normal scatters activates 3 free spins. There are 5 levels in the free spins with increasing level multipliers. During the Disco Danny Bonus Games, only the golden scatter are in view.
Any golden scatter symbol stays sticky to the reels and remains there until the end of the current free spin level. If the whole play area is covered in golden scatter, you'll move to the next level.

You know what? We had a good time having a boogey with this Disco Danny slot on mobile, even if the theme is a little lazy.
Granted, getting 2,000x your bet is slim to nothing chance - if you get anywhere near 400x your bet, take your money and be grateful. Maybe go play on Book of Atem Wowpot slot for that jackpot instead.
